Pi-hole

Pi-hole is a DNS sinkhole that sits between the devices on your network and the upstream resolvers, answering queries locally and dropping requests that match ad and tracking domains. It ships a lightweight web dashboard with query logs, per-client statistics, group and blocklist management, and an optional DHCP server that hands out the Pi-hole resolver as the gateway.

Families and small offices use it to cut advertising and telemetry across phones, TVs and laptops from one box.

Hosting it on your own server keeps query history on your network, with no subscription behind the features and blocklists stored as a config file you can version and restore.
