Immich

Immich is a photo and video management system that acts as a private replacement for the commercial phone galleries, with a mobile app that backs up camera rolls automatically. It builds a timeline, albums, shared links and a map view of your shots, and adds machine learning features such as face recognition and semantic search that run on your own hardware.

Families use it to keep every phone in the household backed up in one place, and to find a photo from years ago by describing who or what appears in it.

Running the pipeline yourself means your photos never reach a third-party server, there is no subscription or storage quota per account, and a database dump plus the original media folder restores the library.
