Healthchecks

Healthchecks is a monitoring service for scheduled work, where each job gets a unique ping URL that the job calls when it succeeds, and the service raises an alert when a ping goes missing. It understands cron schedules, grace periods for jobs that run long, silence windows for planned downtime, and webhook notifications to Slack, Discord, email, and custom endpoints, along with badges and a view of expected versus late runs.

Teams use it to know that a nightly backup or a reporting script actually ran.

Hosting it on your own server keeps the list of internal jobs and their outcomes private, has no per-job cost, and stores its state in a database you control and can restore.
