Frigate

Frigate is a network video recorder that captures camera streams from your home or office and writes them to disk. It adds realtime object detection running locally on a Coral, OpenVINO or CPU inference device, so you can filter recordings by person, car, dog or package and cut down on footage you do not need.

Zones, thresholds, a timeline view and a companion mobile app suit anyone who wants a searchable record of a driveway, doorbell or pet cam rather than a plain continuous recording.

Keeping it on your own hardware means camera footage never leaves the property, there is no per-camera cloud subscription, and the video stays in open formats you can back up and restore yourself.
